So I know it’s a little bit on the late side…but I still want to say Happy New Year to all of you! And I’m hoping that it’s beginning happy, healthy, and hopeful for you! But if not, there is still plenty of time for this to change and for things to move in a more positive direction! π So in the spirit of being both gentle and kind…I would suggest giving yourself both space and grace as you work towards making those positive goals and intentions a reality. Change is hard and usually it doesn’t come to most of us overnight! π
Maybe your goal is to lose 25 pounds this year and keep it off. You’ve already lost 6 pounds and that is something but it doesn’t feel like enough in 4 weeks. Give yourself grace…you lost 6 pounds! And also, give yourself kudos for simply making the decision to start! π
Maybe your goal is to get to the gym 5 times per week. And so far this month you’ve made it there 9 times. Give yourself credit for those 9 times! And give yourself grace and a pat on the back for getting out of the house when all you wanted to do was sit there on the couch and watch your favorite show! Maybe those 9 times are more than you went in all of 2024! π
Maybe your goal is to get your financial health in order. Maybe you’ve decided to take a closer look at your spending habits, your saving habits, and just what your priorities are when it comes to your money.Β Again, just making the decision to look at your financial health and well-being should be celebrated! π
Speaking of financial health, John and I made the decision last month to start the new year off by finding a financial advisor. This decision absolutely became an important part of our intention for 2025! Our overarching goal was and is to learn if we will be in a good way down the line for retirement. This morning was the first step on this journey. We had an initial consultation in her office and decided to move forward with her expertise and guidance.
But maybe your goals and intentions look nothing like the ones I’ve mentioned. Perhaps they are to relax more, to stress less, and/or to enjoy more time doing the things that you love most! OMG…I just loved writing those words!!! π And I wonder…maybe…just maybe I could be a little part of that relax more, stress less, doing the things (or people lol) that you love most?!? π And…I would LOVE to be a part of your goals and intentions for this year…celebrating your incredible victories with you…the small ones, the medium ones, or those incredibly huge amazing (I can’t believe I did it) ones!!!
I am that proverbial cheerleader…always in your corner…let me be there to cheer you on!!! π

Thank you for the encouragement. I know there are really just two simple ways to motivate people, either the carrot or the stick. While I generally prefer the carrot, that are those very needy times that not only do I prefer the stick, I need it, want it. Especially if you are the one holding it. Diet diet diet and working out every day!!! Goal is to get back under 200 lbs-gained way way way to much weight as Iβm at 280-unacceptable!!!! Thatβs reason Iβve not called in long long long time-hate having ugly dad bod as that has to go away forever!!! Once I get under 200 lbs-with abs I can fit back into my dresses/womens clothes and will start calling back again!!!
